Write Like an Actor with Stephanie Storey
Actors train for years to learn to create and embody full, rounded characters--finding the motivations, quirks, conflicts, gestures and points of view that truly bring imaginary people to life. Now you can learn some of the tools of the acting craft in a writer-friendly environment (no getting up on "stage"!) to help you improve your writing. Through a series of short lectures and writing prompts, participants will learn to write better dialogue, get in touch with their characters’ emotions, develop strong points of view, and choose character details that are specific and important.
