Covenant Presbyterian Church’s Advent programs and services invite people into a season of waiting, particularly those who are often forgotten at Christmas. The season will begin Sunday, Dec. 1, which is also World AIDS Day. In addition to the morning worship service at 11 a.m., Covenant will hold a vigil from 2-5 p.m. in the Chapel to remember those who were lost to the AIDS epidemic. In partnership with the Names Project, a panel of the AIDS Quilt will be displayed in the Chapel. Music will be offered on the new Hauptwerk organ. The vigil is open to the public, and all are welcome to join for a meditative time of remembrance and reflection. Free parking is available on the top deck of Peachtree Battle Shopping Center immediately south of the church.
