Emory Libraries is hosting a Wikipedia editathon in honor of Social Justice Day to improve the quality of content in Wikipedia about notable women. This is our fifth year running this event, which is free and open to the public.
According to Women in Red (WiR), as of February 2020, only 18.25% of English Wikipedia’s biographies were about women, and many are incomplete. Let's change that!
You can bring your laptop, power cord, and ideas for entries that need updating or creation. Some computers will also be available in a break-out room (Woodruff Library, Room 314).
Come learn how to edit Wikipedia and contribute to the online information community!
