The UNG Sinfonietta will give its final concert of the year on Thursday, April 18, at 7:30 pm in Shott Auditorium on the Dahlonega campus. The program will feature two of the 2019 Concerto/Aria Competition winners, Kevin Flanagan (tuba) and Brittany Thomas (tuba). Both students are music majors at UNG. Mr. Flanagan will perform music by two Norwegian composers: Ordner Seg (It'll Be Alright) by Øystein Baadsvik and Anitra's Dance by Edvard Grieg. Ms. Thomas will perform two movements from Arild Plau's Concerto for Tuba and Strings. The concert will conclude with music from the motion picture Shrek, including themes and a selection of popular songs featured in the film: "I'm a Believer," "Hallelujah," "All Star," and "YMCA." Admission is free.
