The Sandy Springs Society Announces 9th Annual
The Elegant Elf Marketplace Nov. 9-10, 2019
Funds raised benefit local nonprofits
ATLANTA (September 2019) - The Sandy Springs Society will host their 9th annual “shopping for a cause” fundraiser The Elegant Elf Marketplace Nov. 9-10, 2019 at City Springs Civic & Cultural Center in Sandy Springs, Ga.
This stylish, two-day gift market features more than 100 carefully selected vendors who offer hand-crafted items, exquisite artistic creations and the latest gourmet delights. Over the past eight years, The Elegant Elf Marketplace has raised more than a half million dollars, which has enabled The Sandy Springs Society to provide grants to non-profit organizations working to improve the arts, heritage, education, environment and social services in Sandy Springs.
Sandy Springs resident Annette Joseph, a nationally recognized expert on entertaining, cooking, and styling, will serve as honorary chair for The Elegant Elf Marketplace.
“I was honored to be asked to participate in The Elegant Elf Marketplace, a lovely event that inspires beauty during the holiday season,” says Joseph, who enjoys sharing the many ideas, tips and tricks she has gained as a leading photo stylist/producer specializing in lifestyle, food and editorial images for national magazines. “It’s the perfect way to support small businesses and artisans, discover one-of-a-kind gifts for loved ones, and give back to the community we all love.”
The popular and highly anticipated two-day upscale gift market features 100 carefully selected local and regional artisans, gourmet food purveyors, and unique gift vendors of jewelry, handcrafted fashions, fine crafts, items for home and garden, handbags and toys.
All proceeds from The Elegant Elf Marketplace are reinvested in the local Sandy Springs community. The 2019 Elegant Elf Marketplace co-chairs are Debbie Schwartz, Barb Mutz, Clanci Jordan, Jeannie Bartow-Hartman, Susan Sutterfield and The Sandy Springs Society President Jan Stewart.
Established in 2011, The Elegant Elf Marketplace is a treasured community tradition and draws shoppers from in and outside of Sandy Springs who want to find quality merchandise, begin holiday gift shopping early, beat the crowds, and skip shopping at the mall. Shoppers can also enjoy festive raffle packages of beauty, home, apparel and other specialty items, and a fashion show highlighting clothing and accessories from Elf Marketplace vendors.
“The Sandy Springs Society works year-round to select upscale gift vendors, and we’re thrilled to present another amazing two-day lineup of shopping for a cause at our new City Springs venue,” said Susan Sutterfield, event co-chair, Elegant Elf Marketplace. “It’s a win-win-win for the entire community - vendors, shoppers and the non-profit organizations we support in Sandy Springs.”
The Elegant Elf Marketplace takes place Saturday, November 9 and Sunday, November 10 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at City Springs Civic & Cultural Center, 1 Galambos Way, Sandy Springs, GA 30328. There is a $5 entrance fee, but parking is complimentary for two hours in the parking garage; children 10 and under are free.
