Tee Up ATL, the fifth annual kickoff event to TOUR Championship week, is set for Monday, August 19 from 7-10 p.m. at the College Football Hall of Fame and will feature performances from the 69 Boyz and Francesco Yates.
Tickets are currently on sale for Tee Up ATL, the official party that celebrates the PGA TOUR's top 30 golfers as they come to Atlanta to compete for the FedExCup at the season-ending TOUR Championship held at East Lake Golf Club, August 21-25.
New this year, guests also will receive a Wednesday grounds ticket, valued at $35, with the purchase of a Tee Up ATL ticket, allowing Atlantans to get the full TOUR Championship experience. Tickets are only $25 and are available for purchase by going to TeeUpATL.com. All proceeds benefit local non-profit organizations.
Fans at the kickoff event will have the opportunity to hear from some of the top PGA TOUR golfers competing. Past attendees include two-time Masters champion Bubba Watson, 2018 Masters champion Patrick Reed, Tony Finau, Gary Woodland, Jon Rahm and Georgia Tech alum Matt Kuchar.
Each year, proceeds from Tee Up ATL benefit local organizations, including the East Lake Foundation, Purpose Built Schools Atlanta and the Grove Park Foundation. The 2018 event resulted in a $13,000 donation, an 82 percent increase from the previous year.
This year’s event features a mixture of throwback talent with a new pop/soul sensation. 69 Boyz are best known for their 90s hit “Tootsee Roll” and still bring the party wherever they go. Francesco Yates was a featured act on the "Man of the Woods" Tour in North America. He will perform the multi-platinum hit "Sugar" & more.
Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta Hawks announcer as well as voice of Atlanta, Ryan Cameron, will emcee the event, which will include appearances by Atlanta sports celebrities and top PGA TOUR players.
The fifth annual Tee Up ATL is hosted by the Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau, Atlanta Sports Council, Atlanta Business Chronicle, PGA TOUR Superstore, 680 The Fan and is presented with the support of Southern Company and Coca-Cola.
