Ted's Montana Grill Opens New Restaurant in West Midtown at Westside Village on Monday, Oct. 26
ATLANTA (Oct. 26, 2020) – Ted’s Montana Grill, a restaurant known for genuine hospitality and elevated comfort food, will open its twelfth Atlanta-area location today at the Westside Village at Moores Mill, located just minutes from Buckhead, Midtown and Vinings at the heart of the desirable Upper Westside neighborhood. The new location will support local businesses and continue to lead sustainability efforts in Atlanta’s restaurant industry.
Ted’s at Westside Village will include a 3,500 square foot restaurant that represents a classic 19th century saloon. The interior will feature wood-paneled walls, pressed-tin ceilings, mosaic-tiled floors, and a chic, modern bar with folding windows that overlook a large patio. Guests can also enjoy beverages on Ted’s shared rooftop.
The menu at Ted’s is inspired by elevated American favorites with careful preparations and fresh, honest ingredients sourced locally. Made-from-scratch recipes are hand-prepared throughout the day to ensure premium freshness; frozen pouches and microwaves are non-existent at Ted’s. Lunch and dinner selections include ranch-raised American bison, premium beef, award-winning burgers, chicken without antibiotics, hand-cut, aged steaks, fresh seafood and seasonal salads. Ted’s also offers more than 50 gluten-free items, a healthy kids’ menu, Classic American hand-crafted cocktails, local beers, old-fashioned milkshakes and malts, premium wines, hand-squeezed lemonade and Boylan® sodas.
Ted’s Montana Grill aims to support local businesses as much as possible. Its partnership with Greener Fields Together provides guests with safe, sustainable produce from Jaemor Farms in North Georgia. Ted’s will also source some of its fresh-baked buns from H&F Bread Co., all-natural chicken from Springer Mountain Farms, Fiddler bourbon from ASW Distillery, and draft beers from Scofflaw Brewery, Monday Night Brewing and SweetWater Brewery.
“We are humbled and enthusiastic to open a new restaurant while supporting our local businesses during a challenging time,” said George McKerrow, co-founder and CEO of Ted’s Montana Grill. “We encourage the community to come in, relax and savor our made-from-scratch, traditional dishes with those familiar flavors that comfort you and make you feel good – the way real food is intended.”
Ted’s at Westside Village has also partnered with SouthEast LINK, a leader in the cleaning products industry. The new location and Ted’s at Midtown are the first restaurants in Atlanta to use electro-chemically activated (ECA) water, replacing all chemical disinfectants such as bleach and detergents in the entire facility for a healthier, non-toxic and more sustainable environment. ECA is a patented technology that uses water, salt and electricity to produce a potent and natural disinfectant and detergent, which destabilizes the electrical charge of the water and creates an environment which microbes cannot survive, killing 99.999 percent of all bacteria. The detergent, disinfectant and degreaser solutions are toxic-free and aid in the process of a superior cleaning agent. The elimination of these chemicals reduces the safety risks to Team Members and Guests, reducing toxic-laden chemicals from washing down its sewer systems and less plastic packaging used for those chemicals.
“Ted’s Montana Grill shares the same passion as SouthEast LINK – providing the most sanitary disinfecting systems that are sustainable and have a positive effect on indoor and outdoor environments,” said Jack Adelman, VP Education and Training at SouthEast LINK. “Ted’s challenged the commonly used methods that the restaurant industry uses to clean and disinfect by thoroughly vetting ECA On-Site generated water, changing the restaurant cleaning/disinfectant paradigm. SouthEast LINK is proud to partner with Ted’s, the leader in providing an environment that is safe for its guests, team and the earth.”
ECA water is among many sustainable initiatives in the everyday business practices at Ted’s Montana Grill. McKerrow has challenged other restaurants to be more sustainable during the Green Restaurant Revolution. He also encouraged the National Restaurant Association to become a leader in sustainability, resulting in the creation of the Conserve Sustainability Education Program, which is still active today.
