In celebration of National Peanut Month, the National Peanut Board (NPB) has teamed up with Twitter to make it easy to help fight hunger. Peanut butter is consistently one of the most requested items at food banks due to its versatility, high protein content and long shelf-life. Twitter users can help NPB in Spreading Good by using the peanut emoji. It’s that easy.
The campaign runs through the end of March. If NPB reaches its goal of 6 million peanut emoji by 3/31, they will donate up to 17,000 pounds of peanuts and peanut butter to U.S. food banks.
