Premiere of "Suppressed: The Fight to Vote"
A new film from Brave New Films highlighting personal stories of voter suppression and disenfranchisement in Georgia's 2018 election will premiere on the evening of September 24, National Voter Registration Day, at the Auburn Avenue Research Library in downtown Atlanta. Suppressed: The Fight to Vote features experts, poll watchers and everyday Georgians speaking to the reality of voter suppression and the threat it poses in 2020.
The film was produced in partnership with ACLU of Georgia, Fair Fight and New Georgia Project, in addition to other local partners.
After the screening, Georgia voters featured in Suppressed will participate in a panel discussion following the screening, moderated by Black Votes Matter co-founder Cliff Albright. Robert Greenwald, president and founder of Brave New Films, and special guests, will give remarks.
