Pine LakeFest is two days of handmade art and crafts, music, great food and family-friendly fun on the shores of beautiful Pine Lake, Georgia. Now in its 19 th year, this highly interactive festival showcases handmade art and crafts by 45 local and regional artist vendors and live music in a variety of styles.
Activities include chalk drawing and sandcastle contests on the beach with prizes, street performers, and a pet show and parade. Highlights of the weekend will include “Floatzilla,” a floating parade with wildly decorated watercraft and a Family Carnival with giant games and a puppet show. The music stage will have a full schedule of bands and performers both days.
Festival hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, October 5, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, October 6. Admission and parking are free. Pine Lake is located 12 miles east of Atlanta, between Decatur and Stone Mountain. The lake is surrounded by a park, playground, and wetlands with walking trails.
