Happening All Day in the Nature Exchange in November (Mon-Fri 10 am - 5 pm and Sun 12 pm - 5 pm)
Look Closer: Take your best guess at our macro-images: natural objects under BIG magnification. Did you know butterflies wings have thousands of scales?
Natural Texture: We will be exploring a variety of textures in nature – bark, leaves, and others – to compare and contrast. Can you imagine a world without feelings like crunchy, spiky, smooth, or soft?
Community Collage: Many of our visitors enjoy sharing their nature photos with us! Here is your chance to “display” your images – print out your favorite image to share on our collage wall in NEX. Or, email us at natureexchange@chattnaturecenter.org and we will share your photo!
Scavenger Hunts: Get outside and experience and observe nature all throughout our 127 acres. Pick one object that you find interesting or beautiful and observe it for 5 minutes. You’ll earn 10 NEX points for each word you can write to describe your object, up to 100 points. While the fall colors should keep you busy outdoors, head inside for a change and check out our Indoor Scavenger Hunts – a new theme each month! Find all the clues and earn NEX points.
