Murphy’s in Virginia-Highland hosts a feast for the ears and the stomach on Aug. 22 as executive chef Andy Tran joins creative forces with cellist Jean Gay to match food, wine and music for a distinctive dining experience.
In preparation for the dinner, Gay has paired classical cello pieces with each course that evoke the sound and emotion of Tran’s dishes. She will lead guests through the musical dining experience, explaining her methods behind each coupling.
The dinner features five courses and starts at 6:30 p.m. Cost is $90 per person plus tax and gratuity. Space is limited; make reservations online.
