Angela Brown will be in concert at Morningside Presbyterian Church (1411 N. Morningside Drive, N.E.) Sunday, September 16 at 3pm. This free concert will include works by Richard Wagner, Giacomo Puccini, Giuseppe Verdi, Richard Danielpour, and John Carter. Ms. Brown personifies the ideal soprano: sheer vocal power; luxurious finesse; and shimmering, high pianissimos. With a charming personality larger than life, she unites opera, pops, and gospel in one sensational voice. Her highly successful Metropolitan Opera debut in the title role of Aida captured instant attention from international media and catapulted her onto the world's prestigious opera and symphonic stages. She will sing the role of Addie Parker with the Atlanta Opera's performances of Charlie Parker's Yardbirds in October, a role she debuted in 2015. The concert is free and the public is invited to attend. For more information visit www.morningsidepc.org.
