Georgia artist Loretta Paraguassu will be on the lower level of the library on December 7th from 1—5 to meet patrons and answer all of your questions.
Her art will be on display throughout the month of December
Art has been a true love in my life since I was a child. I began seriously drawing portraits from photos when I was in high school—and I did take elective classes when I was in high school. There were early rewards: I won blue ribbons and people occasionally paid me to do art for them now and then.
In spite of earning a living and getting a lot of attention as a journalist - positions included being a columnist for the Los Angeles Times, love of art continued. At one point, I enrolled in California College of Arts and Crafts and became even more obsessed with drawing and painting.
Since then, I got my M.A. in film making from Georgia State but still managed to squeeze many art classes into my schedule. Now what? I've enrolled in GSU again as an art major once more.
