The Interdenominational Theological Center (ITC) has partnered with AARP Georgia to host its first ITC/AARP Community Summit on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 from 9: 00 AM to 3:00 PM in the Costen Building on the ITC Campus. This event will engage the greater metro Atlanta community and provide resources for the 50+ age population, while also introducing the millennial population and others to the services provided by ITC and AARP. The event will also educate clergy and leaders of faith-based organizations about AARP African American/Black Faith Based Initiative.
The African American/Black Faith-Based Initiative Tool Kit was designed by AARP to be a handbook for faith-based organizations to launch and sustain ministries for their African American members, staff and volunteers, constituents and residents in the communities they serve who are 50 years of age and over. During the Community Summit AARP will provide information and services relating to Financial Planning, Fraud Awareness, and Connecting Caregivers to the Community Program (CC2C).
In addition to the Community Summit, ITC will host its ever-popular Marketplace @ ITC. The Marketplace @ ITC will be comprised of a market complete with indy shopkeepers, artisans, your favorite local retailers, service providers and of course local eats. We invite you to stop by and enjoy lunch and shop with local businesses.
