Horizon Theatre partners with AIDS Healthcare Foundation for World AIDS Day Premiere of Love, M. Starring Lamman Rucker
In recognition of World AIDS Day on December 1, Horizon Theatre, the Black Leadership AIDS Crisis Coalition and AIDS Healthcare Foundation, the world’s largest provider of HIV/AIDS services, bring to the virtual stage Love, M., a powerful story about mothers, sons, and AIDS activists during the early days of the AIDS Crisis. With humor and humanity, and the history of the AIDS Memorial Quilt as a backdrop, the play is about the healing power of love.
The premiere stars actor and activist Lamman Rucker from the television series Greenleaf and Broadway icon Terry Burrell. The evening includes a pre-show welcome, the play, and, in partnership with rolling out Health IQ, a post-show conversation, moderated by award-winning journalist Patrick L. Riley with guests Lamman Rucker; Dr. Shalondra K. Crawford, renowned Los Angeles based Psychologist; and Dr. Daniel Black, Assistant Professor of African and African American Studies at Clark Atlanta University; and Daniel Driffin, Co-Founder of THRIVE SS and Chair Emeritus of The Young Black Gay Men’s Leadership Initiative (YBGLI).
