A colorful self-guided adventure of four lovely gardens of Master Gardeners in Flowery Branch and Talmo. Themes include potting barn with vegetable garden and a "she shed", small space gardening, natives with certified pollinator beds, and woodland gardens with hard and soft landscaping. The two public gardens are Linwood Nature Preserve, featuring the Redbud project with displays of native plants, and Piedmont Hotel with the Longstreet heritage gardens featuring heirloom plants of the Civil War era. Their museum will be open for the walk. You may enjoy all gardens at your own pace. There will be Master Gardener volunteers at each garden to assist you and answer your questions. You can look forward to choosing a pass-a-long plant from a selection available at the Talmo garden. Tickets are $10 prior to June 1st, available at the Hall County Extension Office at 734 E. Crescent Dr. Gainesville (770-535-8293) or on our website via Brown Paper Tickets at hallmastergardeners.com. The day of the Walk tickets will cost $15 and may be purchased at all Master Gardener host gardens and Linwood. The purchase of your Garden Walk ticket provides you with the locations of this year's gardens. When you start the day, the route and stops along the way are up to you!
