Guiding Eyes for the Blind Presents Virtual Golf Classic with Host Eli Manning
The nation's leading guide dog nonprofit, Guiding Eyes for the Blind, is presenting its 44th Annual Golf Classic tournament, available to golfers across the country. The event has been hosted by Eli Manning for the past 15 years and counting, and this year will be no different.
Typically, the golf tournament — one of Guiding Eyes’s biggest fundraising events — is held in-person, but this year, they are changing things up to include as many people, and to be as Covid-safe, as possible. That means participants can join in on the golf from anywhere in the country. The event is taking place from June 12–20, with a closing ceremony on June 21.
The Golf Classic is the flagship fundraiser event for Guiding Eyes, which, as the country’s leading guide dog school, raises, trains, and provides impeccably trained guide dogs to blind and visually impaired people who require their services, at no cost at all to the recipient. Guiding Eyes is able to keep these guide dogs free for their students — a process that costs in the neighborhood of $50,000 — through fundraising efforts such as this one!
You are invited to participate from your home course, at any point that is convenient during the June 12-20 time frame. All scores will live on the shared leaderboard, so you will be going head-to-head with Eli Manning himself, along with many other distinguished participants.
