March is a great time to get outside and look for early migrants coming through Georgia. Birds on the move include waterfowl, sparrows, Osprey, and Louisiana Waterthrush. Another incentive to take a hike in March is the chance to hear the early songs sung by our wintering birds. Beautiful melodies from the Blue-headed Vireos, Pine Warblers and White-throated Sparrows are just a few you may hear along the trails.
PARKING FEE: All vehicles entering and parking in the Chicopee Woods Conservation Area are subject to the Chicopee Woods Area Park Commission parking fee (effective February 1, 2018). Daily parking fee is $5 per vehicle or $10 for 15-passenger vans and buses. Or, purchase a $50 annual parking pass.
