Jonathan Peyton is a singer/songwriter from Woodstock, Georgia, just north of Atlanta where he lives with his wife and three children. He often writes from personal life experience. Writing music has become a way of processing through life and relating to others and their stories. Jonathan released his first full length album, Waters Below, in March of 2016. He recently released his new EP, Where Do We Stand. In 2017 he won first place in the Undiscovered Artist Series at Mad Life Stage and Studios in Woodstock, Georgia. He also won first place in the annual Open Mic Shoot-Out at the Red Clay Music Foundry in Duluth, Georgia, hosted by the legendary Eddie Owen.
Growing up, Tyler Lyle vowed never to go into music. "As a kid we were always taking family trips to Nashville so my dad could play the Bluebird Cafe or attend some songwriting symposium, and I resented the city for stealing my vacations away," recalls the Brooklyn resident and Georgia native. But at age 15, he haphazardly picked up his father's guitar, mastered a few chords, and soon started writing his own songs. In 2011 Lyle released his indie-folk debut "The Golden Age & The Silver Girl," named one of the top 10 albums of 2012 on NPR's World Cafe. In 2013, he was awarded the National Abe Oleman Scholarship for songwriting presented by the Songwriter's Hall of Fame and the Harold Adams Lyric Award for the song “Young Men” presented by the ASCAP Foundation. His songs have been featured in dozens of TV shows, films, video games and advertisements. He is also the lead singer and songwriter for the pop/rock duo The Midnight. This winter, he releases his third full length solo record “The Floating Years.”
