The Clarkston Community Center will present its Fourth Annual International Food & Wine Gala on Saturday, Nov. 9 from 7-10 p.m. The popular event is designed to showcase the cuisine of many regions from which Clarkston’s international population hails, including Africa, Asia, Central America, the Middle East and more. Guests will be invited to sample the various dishes provided by area chefs and restaurants, as well as taste a collection of international wines. The evening includes live entertainment and a Global Arts & Crafts Market with works by local and international artists sold only by the Clarkston Community Center. The event is a fundraiser for the Center, which serves over 60,000 people annually through educational offerings, recreational programs and community building. Tickets are $40 per person in advance and $45 at the door. Sponsorship opportunities are also available at www.clarkstoncommunitycenter.org/sponsorship. Tickets may be purchased at the Center or online at www.clarkstoncommunitycenter.org/4th-annual-food-and-wine-gala
“In just a few short years, our International Food & Wine Gala has become one of our most successful and popular fundraisers,” said Luay Sami, Clarkston Community Center executive director. “This gala is like no other, since it combines delicious international foods and wines from around the world, live entertainment and the opportunity for guests to see and purchase art at the Center’s Global Market, which will be open for Gala attendees to enjoy. Every year, the Gala has sold out, so I encourage people to purchase their tickets early!”
Each ticket includes dinner and two glasses of wine. Additional drink tickets will be available for purchase during the evening. The Clarkston Community Center is located in the beautifully renovated former Clarkston High School building at 3701 College Ave., Clarkston, Ga., 30021 with plenty of free parking. Because the evening will include wine sampling, guests must be 21 years or older to attend. Cocktail attire is suggested.
