You heard him on NPR - now meet him in person. Chris Richardson had been a Consul with the State Department in Nigeria, Nicaragua and Pakistan before being stationed in Madrid, Spain. When the Trump Administration issued the “Muslim Ban” the Emory graduate resigned rather than support what he considered to be discriminatory effects of the ban. Before he left the State Department, Chris gave a sworn statement to the lawyers who brought the "Travel Ban" case to the Supreme Court. Justice Stephen Breyer quoted Chris’s statement in his dissent. Because Chris spoke out, he cannot be re-hired at State. Chris now has a new career, here in Atlanta, representing immigrants. Take a break from the bad news and be inspired! With musical guest, the inimitable Dave Soleil of Sing Out Defiance.
