Children’s Museum of Atlanta Town Square: Let's Talk about Awareness for Educators
Children’s Museum of Atlanta has long served as a center for the community to come together to learn about and discuss important issues that affect children. Following the program’s launch in July, the Museum is continuing its series ‘Let’s Talk About…’ with a new topic in October, CMA Town Square: Let's Talk about Awareness for Educators. The virtual interview series is designed for families, educators and the community to create a conversation and learn about issues important to the community as well as recourses that can help families to have hard conversations. Weekly guest speakers will discuss topics such as classroom environments that are welcoming to all students, how to talk about LGBTQIA topics with children and more. Children’s Museum of Atlanta is proud to serve the community by offering resources and tools that can provide parents and teachers with the correct information that can help classroom environments become consciously aware and inclusive to the LGBTQIA community.
Each 30-minute session includes up to 10 minutes of audience Q&A. The sessions will take place on Facebook live stream and will be posted on Children’s Museum of Atlanta YouTube channel and blog with a list of resources.
