Thanks to a partnership with the Atlanta Homeward Choir, the Georgia State University Choral Union, and Georgia's Own Credit Union, Woodruff Park will host a free event to ring in the holiday season and celebrate connection and compassion.
Attendees will be able to enjoy an exclusive joint performance by the Atlanta Homeward Choir and the Georgia State University Choral Union on the park's cafe plaza. The event will also include a free hot chocolate bar, a photo booth, and...a visit from Santa! The first 150 attendees will receive a special mug, courtesy of Georgia's Own.
To celebrate the success of its collaboration with Hope Atlanta, the Atlanta Downtown Improvement District (ADID) will recognize Woodruff Park case worker Janika Robinson and her clients who have been permanently housed. Georgia’s Own will provide holiday gifts to these individuals as part of its "85 Acts of Kindness" initiative. Since September 2018, Ms. Robinson has successfully placed over 100 park users in permanent housing, enrolled over 700 park users into HOPE Atlanta programs, and referred over 750 to other social service programs.
