The concert "Turandot" is presnented by the California Opera House. Directed by Conductor Yu Feng, President of the Central Conservatory of Music. Music Director will be Italian conductor Dr.Marco Bellei who is also the professor of the Central Conservatory of Music.
Chinese soprano Wei Wang will perform the main role of Turandot. The winner of the Metropolitan Opera Competition；tenor Jeremy Brauner will perform the role of Prince Calaf. Jenny Lindsey is a American Soprano who has performed many times with famous orchestras and she will perform the role of Liu. Peng Wu(吴柏成); a Chinese bass baritone who has a strong voice and combined consistent beauty and generosity of tone with interpretation of deep perception and humanity, and he will perform role of Timur.
Dr. Wang Wei is a famous soprano in China. She has perform almost all Wagnerian opera characters. She is known as “the first Chinese Wagnerian Soprano”. In 2013, she received the outstanding experts certificate from the Ministry of Culture of China. In 2014, she received the title of senior expert of the State Council government. She not only succeeded in interpreting the difficult Wagnerian operas, but also successfully shaped the artistic image of Princess Turandot.
In recent years, she has successfully performed dozens of "Turandot", such as the Central Opera House, Lanzhou Performing Arts Company, Wuhan Qintai Concert Hall, Tsinghua University Opera Hall, Central Conservatory of Music and Italian Puccini Music Festival, Switzerland Mei Music Festival, Russian Kemerovo Symphony Orchestra, Budapest Budapest Music Festival, Slovenia Ljubljana Music Festival. Marco Bellei, who was born in Italy in 1970, is an Italian musician and obtains a doctor’s degree of piano at full scores. Now he is a high-level foreign expert of the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs P.R China and a professor of China’s Central Conservatory of Music.
As an international coach, he had long-term cooperation with many renowned conductors, singers and famous theaters. In 1992, as the best pianist, he received a special award from the world soprano Mirella Freni and began to build a long-term cooperation with her. Later, he has long been an art director for the world tenor singer Luciano Pavarotti and they would open a music master class in Italy every year. In 1993, he received an award in the national fund selection and cultivation of the top opera art director competition, which was jointly held by the Italian government and the “A.Belli” experimental theater of Spoleto, and then worked as an art director and conductor assistant in the theater.
