Benefit Organ Concert, featuring Sue Mitchell-Wallace organist, Dr. Alexander Freund, trumpet, Alejandra Sandoval, Lyric Coloratura Soprano
Free Benefit Concert Series Benefitting the Historical Aeolian-Skinner Organ at Druid Hills Presbyterian Church
In 1940 Druid Hills Presbyterian Church opened its new sanctuary at 1026 Ponce de Leon Ave, along with its glorious new Aeolian-Skinner Organ, created by renowned organ builder G. Donald Harrison. This organ has created beautiful music for the community for 80 years but is now in well-earned need of restoration.
As part of DHPC Organ Restoration project, a series of benefit concerts are slated for 2019/2020, featuring the famed organ. The concerts are free and open to the public. Donations will be gladly received, 100% going towards the restoration.
