After more than two decades of designing buildings and serving his country, a fatal cancer
diagnosis brought Columbus Cook back to his first love: visual art. Using copper coils and
cords from the very device that was extending his life, Columbus started to assemble lush
mixed media works that detailed his evolution.
The exhibition is a bucket list wish fulfilled for the artist, who is living with brain cancer.
On display November 14, 2019-February 1, 2020 in the Fowler Gallery and Kistner Atrium.
