Atlanta Celebrates Photography: Ones to Watch 2020
Race, gender, identity, beauty, and social equity are dominant themes addressed by artists featured in the 2020 Atlanta Celebrates Photography Ones To Watch selection by independent curator Mary Stanley at a sassy, multimedia exhibition at MINT Gallery. These eleven young photographers are making work that is optimistic, controversial, and beautiful in response to the challenges that face this next generation of documentary and fine art photographers.
Featuring works from Rosie Brock, Alexis Childress, Patrick Di Rito, Genevieve Gaignard, Antonio Johnson, Marissa Leshnov, Brandon McClain, Savana Ogburn, Parker Reinecker, and twins Jackson & Joshua Stewart. Ranging in age from 24 to 39 and hailing from cities from Oakland to Atlanta, thesee merging and established talents will surely endure.
Their work will be on view at MINT Gallery by appointment from Oct 3rd–Nov 27th, 2020 and featured virtually on Exposure.co as part of the 22nd Annual Atlanta Celebrates Photography Festival. This is a socially distanced exhibition with only 10 people allowed in the gallery space at one time.
