ATLANTA AREA TEENS TO BE HONORED AT HADASSAH EVENT
Hadassah’s 29th Annual Chesed Student Awards Celebration Gets Creative
Due to challenges posed by the pandemic that precludes large in-person gatherings, for the first time in 29 years, Hadassah Greater Atlanta’s Chesed (Loving Kindness) Student Awards ceremony is going digital.
The community is invited to join the festivities on Sunday, August 9, at 2:00 pm via Zoom to celebrate excellence, service and good deeds among Atlanta’s Jewish teens! Hadassah is excited to partner with JumpSpark to honor some of the best and brightest young leaders representing synagogues, day schools, and Jewish organizations in our community.
This year 25 students are nominated for awards. Now more than ever during the current health crisis their dedication to community service shines through. The students’ many accomplishments and volunteer activities include: National Honor Society, caring for dogs of the homeless, Creating Connected Communities, Chastain Horse Park Therapeutic Riding Program, preparing sack lunches for Must Ministries, Lifeline Animal Project, Atlanta Community Food Bank, Sunday-school teachers, Georgia Math League, founder of Grady March for Our Lives, Dekalb Youth Symphony, Chick- Fil-A Leaders Academy, and much more.
Enjoy this free event and be inspired by young people who are making a positive difference in their lives and the lives of others. For further details, contact Hadassah at 678-443-2961 or firstname.lastname@example.org. To learn more about Hadassah, go to www.hadassah.org/atlanta.
