Artful Stories: Ganesha, The Elephant-Faced God
Seated under the friendly gaze of Ganesha in an image by artist Manjari Sharma in the exhibition Transcendent Deities of India: The Everyday Occurrence of the Divine, children will hear the story of how Ganesha came to have the head of an elephant in Dandi Palmer's adaptation. After the story, children can enjoy laddoos, Ganesha’s favorite treat, as they make “leaf Ganeshas” from betel leaves and lentils.
For ages 3 to 6 years and accompanying adults. This program is free and open to the public.
