A Cappella Books celebrates its 30th Anniversary with a benefit concert for Common Good Atlanta!
Join us at the Variety Playhouse on Monday, December 16, at 8 p.m. as we mark our 30th year with a special night of music featuring a solo set by Cat Power singer-songwriter, Chan Marshall.
Atlanta's own W8ing4UFOs and FLAP will kick off the evening's festivities.
Proceeds will benefit Common Good Atlanta, which provides higher education programs for incarcerated people and their families.
Tickets are $30 for general admission and $45 for limited reserved seating. Doors open at 7:00 p.m.
Common Good Atlanta exists to enrich the community's common good by providing access to higher education, especially to incarcerated people and their families. Over the past eleven years, Common Good Atlanta has provided more than 4,000 hours of college classes inside prisons taught by more than 50 faculty from six Atlanta universities.
From our humble beginnings in Little Five Points to our current shop in Inman Park, for three decades, A Cappella Books has been serving the Atlanta community. Our store is known for our distinctive selection of titles, reflective of our diverse neighborhood, our community involvement, and a preference in books that reflect originality and edginess over the formulaic and safe. Together with a wide range of partners across Atlanta, we bring great authors to the city all year long for book signings and literary events, and our signed titles garner us customers from all around the world.
