7th Annual Deon Lewis Memorial HOPE Run
H.O.P.E (Helping Other People be Empowered), Inc. is back with its 7th annual Deon Lewis Memorial HOPE 5K Run/Fun Run. #NeonDeonRun This year’s event features:
Virtual Run: September 27—October 9
Virtual event participants have from September 27 to October 9 to submit their 5K results. Details about how to submit virtual race times to be provided closer to race time.
In-person 5K Run & Fun Run: October 10
8am – 10 am
Shorty Howell Park
Whether you’re near, far, virtual or in-person, grab your neon gear and help break the cycle of poverty by assisting single parents with obtaining a college education and becoming self-sufficient.
The challenging uphill/downhill certified course at Shorty Howell Park exemplifies the difficulties single parents face in their pursuit of higher education. Runners of all skill levels are encouraged to register, bring family and friends to join the fun! The #NeonDeonRun includes:

*Overall male and female, Masters male and female, top 3 finishers in 14 age groups (10 & Under to 70 & Over in five-year increments). Medals and face painting for all Fun Run participants. Awards for both the virtual and in-person races will be announced October 10. Virtual participants can get results via the awards ceremony at the in-person race event on Oct. 10 via Facebook live.
**Colorful, high-quality short-sleeve, cotton t-shirts supplied to all runners while supplies last. PRE- REGISTERED participants are guaranteed a t-shirt on race day.
