(Re)Imagined. . . is a benefit concert to kick off the fundraising campaign for Vanity Lane: The Ballet. The goal is to raise money to produce original ballet content specifically for African American audiences.
(Re)Imagined. . . intersects music, poetry, dance, and virtual reality to create narrative storytelling elements while introducing original content from Vanity Lane: The Ballet. This concert will present a "Reimagining of Blacks in Performative Spaces: Reshaping the Narrative" performing, creating and telling original stories and creating a space for black creatives to do so. Performances in this concert explore how black women are represented in performative spaces or in places that aren't inclusive to them, how we as black women make room for ourselves to be seen and how we find ways to make ourselves visible when we feel invisible.
