May is National Stroke Awareness Month and Rehab and Beyond needs your help! This Memorial Day weekend, grab your family and come play giant games with us to raise money for low-income stroke and brain injury survivors at the inaugural Rehab and Beyond "Get Healthy, Get Social" Game Day Fundraiser! You will also have the opportunity win cool prizes, including Braves tickets, gadgets, books and so much more!
Rehab and Beyond is a 501(c)(3) charitable non-profit organization, founded in Atlanta, GA dedicated to providing rehabilitative continuum care to stroke and brain injury survivors.
Stroke is the fifth leading cause of death in the U.S. and the leading cause of adult disability. This traumatic health event is more prevalent within low income and undeserved communities who are not able to afford rehabilitation, education, and resources needed to recover post stroke.
One of the most effective exercises during stroke rehabilitation is being social and meeting other stroke and brain injury survivors. At the inaugural "Get Healthy, Get Social" fundraiser, stroke and brain injury survivors will have the opportunity to sit and talk with one another and share experiences. These conversations while on the same journey are priceless and improve recovery.
Join us May 25, 2019 for the inaugural Rehab and Beyond "Get Healthy, Get Social" Fundraiser benefiting low income stroke and brain injury survivors. Come out for food, fun, education, games and giveaways from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Kerwin B. Lee family life center in Stone Mountain, GA. RSVP AND DONATE TODAY AT REHABANDBEYOND.ORG
The Rehab & Beyond "Get Healthy, Get Social " Game Day Fundraiser is in partnership with Emory Rehabilitation Hospital, The National Stroke Association, Georgia Power, Dr. Sears Wellness Institute, Thrive Neuro Health, and Dimensions Media.
